Abstract :
For original paper see D.Gallaher, F.E.Petry and P.Srinivasan, ibid., vol.44, no.1, pp.53-7 (Jan 1997). Modifications needed to exactly facilitate conversion from residue to binary numbers, using the technique developed by Gallaher et al. in the above paper, in some cases, are presented. The relationship of this technique with the Andraros-Ahmad technique (1988) is also considered. Further, comparison with Piestrak´s simplification (1995) of Andraros-Ahmad´s technique is carried out regarding the area and conversion-time requirement. An alternative proof for obtaining L/sub 1/ and L/sub 2/ values in the above paper without evaluating m and n is also presented.
