Abstract
The impedance, efficiency, and current and field risetime for laminated heads have been calculated, and the results are compared with experimental data. The experiments show that laminated heads perform better than non-laminated heads in isolated pulse amplitude and overwrite at high frequencies under identical test conditions; however, the laminated heads do not show improved performance in PW50 and nonlinear transition shift (NLTS) under our test conditions
