  • Abstract
    Power electronics burn-in testing consumes a huge amount of energy and adds to a significant part of the manufacturing cost. To improve this situation, a pulsewidth modulation (PWM) DC/AC inverter using current-mode control is proposed to feedback burn-in test power to the electric utility system. To implement the proposed idea, a new control strategy and system design are presented in this paper. Case studies using uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and battery chargers are demonstrated by means of prototype experiments to prove the method´s performance and effectiveness
