Abstract
The importance of thorough impregnation of transformer insulation with oil is emphasized. Means of doing this and of removing inevitably formed pockets of gas or air are stated. The solution of gas in oil is revealed as a major factor. Certain filling methods in current use are examined and recommendations are made for filling with oil using CO2 to produce better results.
