Abstract :
The realization and the characterization of a multichannel optical fiber-based microwave photonics summation device is presented. Fourteen optically carried 8-GHz microwave signals are summed with respect to their amplitude and their phase. The optical structure which is simply composed of a tapered set of fibers set in front of a planar photodiode is free of optical interference effect.
