Abstract :
Activities at a recent NSF-sponsored workshop are described in this note. Background information and motivation for the workshop are discussed, along with a description of its organization. Initial observations from the workshop are reported, and areas of leadership with respect to the use of information technology in undergraduate science, mathematics, engineering, and technology education are identified
