Abstract
We present experimental results supported by modeling data for TPC sliders that show the effect of temperature on the flying height is negligible in an open environment as long as the slider crown does not change with temperature. At 10 K ft. altitude conditions we find that the measured flying height of a TPC slider can drop as much as 15 nm
