Abstract :
Describes concept and techniques for transforming data, structured to correspond to orthographic views of engineering components, into formal three-dimensional solid models: the theoretical basis for the process is constructive solid geometry. Various algorithms have been developed for executing the transformation for prismatic and so-called orthoprismatic objects with extension to the concept of approximation models for more general three-dimensional solids
