  • Abstract
Mobility model, which is usually inspired by some characteristics of users´ behavior, is an important technique for performance evaluation and simulation of mobile networks. In this paper, a gravitation-based mobility model, namely hotspot gravitation mobility model (HGMM) inspired by the behavior that a user tends to move towards to the nearer hotspot, is proposed to model man´s general movement. We concern with the determinate rules underlying uncertain movement behavior for most of people in HGMM. Other two existing mobility models are taken as the comparisons. Then, the trajectory and final distribution of users are illustrated via simulation, in which HGMM shows its advantage on the target of movement route and the non-rectilinear trajectory in large scale. In addition, the remainder issues for HGMM are discussed at the end.
