Abstract :
In this letter, a novel signal vector based detection (SVD) scheme for spatial modulation (SM) system is proposed. For analytical tractability, we focus on the system in which only one antenna is active during one time slot. Through the theoretical analysis and simulation results, it is shown that the performance of SVD scheme can agree well with the result of the optimal maximum likelihood (ML) detection. The proposed SVD approach also provides significant reduction in complexity as compared with other detection schemes, especially for high-order signaling constellation.
