Abstract :
Polymeric optical waveguides fabricated using a newly developed silicone resin have a low birefringence as well as low propagation loss and good environmental stability. Optical waveguide circuits including a directional coupler, an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) multi/demultiplexer, and a digital thermooptic (TO) switch are successfully realized using the silicone resin
