Abstract :
Capacity allocation, a classical domain in revenue management, was investigated to be used in appointment management of Nuclear Medicine Department in West China Hospital. In our paper innovatively we convert the economic revenue into the utility values, and developed the two-fare classes capacity allocation model to analyze the appointment volume allocate between inpatient and outpatient with the data collected from the survey in West China Hospital. The aim is to maximize the total utility values and give the optimal allocation volume reserved for inpatient, which contribute to improve the rate of meeting the inpatient´s demand. So that to accelerate the bed turnover rate and short the hospitalization days. Our model has a positive meaning for optimization capacity allocation and healthcare appointment management.
