Abstract :
For the design of high efficiency and miniature electrical machines, the development of superconducting machines, which can be used at low temperature (less than liquid nitrogen temperature), is considered. In order to examine the design of these machines, magnetic properties of electrical steel sheets, etc. used, such as cores of electrical machines are necessary. It is shown that the permeability and iron loss of nonoriented silicon steel is, in general, increased at low temperature.
