Abstract
This paper presents the full characterization of the reversible magneto-mechanical behavior of iron-silicon single crystals. Magnetostriction and magnetization measurements under tensile mechanical loading have been performed on specimen collected along the ¿100 ¿, ¿110 ¿ and ¿111 ¿ crystallographic axes. A theoretical interpretation of the results is attempted.
