  • Abstract
    The accepted principles of street lighting are reviewed in conjunction with the requirements of the British Standard Code of Practice for Street Lighting. British and oversea techniques and standards are compared, and some important recent experimental work and installations are described. These factors are used to assess the desirable trend of street lighting in the future.
