Abstract :
The beautiful horizon that is sketched by the idea of smart grid needs absolute effort of the smart human beings, specifically engineers in different areas of expertise and academia, to gradually get closer to what is dreamed as a system that can make smart decisions, eliminate pollutions and enhance reliability. In some places, the goal may be clear but the roadmap is not - such as interoperability, or issues like security of the power system devices if the measurements and analysis on them is openly . Consequently, integrating firm roles and standards should be a very important task in this regard. Coming up with sophisticated algorithms, using expandable hardware and software tools and also making the system operable from different places should be an evolutional change in the power system that we get used to - and calling it smart grid.
