  • Abstract
For most of us Relativity evokes intricate formal manipulations, pleasing to the professional mathematician, but awe-inspiring, and even repulsive, to the average EE. And yet, Physics of the greatest importance hides behind the forest of tensors and fourdimensional symbols which confronts the reader of relativistic texts. Einstein\´s fundamental 1905 paper, "Zur Elektrodynamik Bewegter Korper", already contains, in its title, the reason why the Physics of Relativity may indeed be relevant to the Electrical Engineer [l]. The present paper endeavors to develop this idea by discussing, in very broad terms and without much rigor, a number of problems whch may be solved correctly and concisely by applying relativistic methods.
