Abstract
We have developed a permanent magnetic pavement marking tape. Sections of varying magnetization wavelength were installed in a 230-m linear array. Magnetic field profiles were determined at lateral displacements from the tape out to 0.9 m. Calculations based on a surface pole model with no adjustable parameters gave excellent agreement with the experimental results
