Abstract :
A method of designing nonlinear control laws for the synchronisation of chaotic map master-slave systems is proposed. The general approach to master-slave chaotic map synchronisation is demonstrated on the one-dimensional (??1) cubic map master-slave system. It is shown that it is always possible to achieve instant synchronisation within a single iteration of the master-slave system. The method of implementing the synchronised master-slave system within a chaotic parameter modulation based communication system is then proposed and demonstrated on the cubic map. Such a methodology and implementation holds promise in fast secure chaotic communications that require instant synchronisation schemes.
