Abstract
The ratio of the arithmetic to the geometric mean, a general index to test synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image homogeneity, is applied to the speckle reducing algorithm. A novel filter, based on improved speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion, is designed to denoise the SAR image. Experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
