Abstract :
The author shows that Maxwell´s equations can be employed to predict pulse transmission in lossy media. He concludes that Harmuth and company are wrong in stating that Stratton´s classic treatise contains a `fundamental misunderstanding´ in the application of the Laplace transform technique
