Measurements of field patterns for a comb-type slow-wave structure

Distributions of the electric field in a comb-type slow-wave structure are measured by the probe method at 6 mm wavelengths. The attenuation coefficient is obtained from the field patterns. The phase shift along the comb structure is measured by means of the phase bridge method, and thus the fine structure of the field pattern is investigated fully.
