Abstract :
The rectifier which has an exponential characteristic and parasitic resistance and reactance is considered. By making certain reasonable approximations a simple expression giving the condition for optimum conversion loss is obtained, and from this a set of universal curves, showing optimum conversion loss as a function of the basic contact parameters, is derived. Satisfactory agreement with experimental results is obtained.
