Abstract :
This paper deals with effective calculation of moments of binary images. Recently, Spiliotis and Mertzios (see ibid., vol.7, p.1609-15, Nov. 1998) published a method based on image block representation (IBR). We propose a refinement of their method which yields exact results and performs even more effectively
