Abstract :
Placing irrevocable corporate purchase orders, remitting millions of dollars as prepayment, proposing a higher wafer price, and threatening, screaming, and door slamming are among the many things that you can do as a fabless IC design house to obtain precious capacity allocation from semiconductor foundries for the remaining part of this year. Be forewarned, though, regardless of what you do, you may not get what you want. Suddenly, almost overnight, the semiconductor industry has made a sharp turn from a deep valley to a high peak.
