Editorial

The Editor-in-Chief welcomes three new assocate editors to the editorial board of TPAMI. Alireza Khotanzad is currently a professor of electrical engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Zhengyou Zhang is currently a senior researcher with Microsoft Research. Previously, he was with INRIA in France. Alberto Del Bimbo is currently a professor and director of the Dipartimento di Sistemi e Informatica at the Universit?? degli Studi di Firenze in Italy. Each of the new associate editors has broad interests in several areas covered by TPAMI. Also, each already has substantial editorial experience, having previously served and/or currently serving on the editoral boards of multiple journals. The IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence continues to grow, both in terms of the number of submissions, and in terms of reputation for publishing the highest quality manuscripts. The associate editors play a key role in upholding the reputation of TPAMI and in ensuring that authors receive timely and thoughtful evaluations of their submissions. We are fortunate to be able to continue to attract accomplished researchers to serve the community as associate editors. Brief technical biographies of the new associate editors appear here.
