Abstract
In the present paper two different electromagnetic field calculation methods are compared with measured data for the magnetic shielding of current conductors, in order to check their accuracy and reliability. The applied methods are the effective reluctivity method and the R-functions method. As it can be seen from the determined results, both methods give similar results for the field inside the shielding material and in the surrounding air
