Abstract :
This month, I would like to tell you about our outreach program. This is my little descriptive term for the efforts made by the various technical committees (TCs) to endorse workshops, referee papers, organize sessions, and in general, assist at the various worldwide microwave symposia and conferences. The idea is to use the skills and talents of the TCC membership to help guarantee the quality of intellectual products presented to attendees at any microwave gathering, anywhere in the world. In order to accomplish this goal, the TCC has become increasingly proactive, working closely with the ADCOM Meetings and Symposia committee, prior to MTT-S sponsorship of new conferences, working with organizers of non-MTT-S sponsored conferences to review session proposals, review technical submissions, endorse workshops (generally organized by TC members local to the conference location), and in general, help ensure that presentations are new, authors are thorough, and overall quality is acceptable.
