Abstract
In this communication, an approach is presented for error estimation based on the nonverification of the constitutive relationship. This method consists in constructing a complementary admissible field from the one calculated by finite element method. It is based on a tree technique. This method has been applied in the cases of vector and scalar potential 2D formulations. To show its effectiveness, two magnetostatic examples have been studied. The results given by the proposed estimator are compared to the one based on both finite element complementary potential formulations
