Abstract :
A 3D error estimator based on the hypercircle theorem is presented in the case of the F.E.M. scalar potential formulation in magnetostatics. This estimator requires the construction of an admissible magnetic flux density which may be discretised in the facet element space. Two ways to calculate this field are exposed. The proposed estimator is tested on several examples and compared to the one based on two complementary finite element solutions
