Abstract :
The definition of noise measure (NM) has been used as a figure of merit, and a circuit has been designed for optimum performance. The circuit possesses maximum gain and minimum noise figure over the design frequency band. Furthermore, to keep the response flat in the frequency range of interest, input and output matching networks have been designed using a Smith chart. The noise measure obtained for the device is 0.45
