Abstract
The transportation problem and linear programming are defined and an electronic analogue of the problem and its optimum solution is described. A computer with a 5Ã20 matrix has been built using current and opposing e.m.f. to simulate coal flow and route costs respectively. The circuits are described and a Section on operating technique is included. A typical problem and its solution are given, and it is concluded that a larger computer is feasible.
