COMAR after 25 years: still a challenge

This abbreviated history of COMAR is presented not only for the interest of the reader but to communicate to a new generation of participants and supporters of COMAR today´s challenges—which, in fact, are deeply rooted in the history of COMAR and continue with no end in sight. Not all highlights will be described in depth and only the most important over-arching issues are singled out for treatment. The lessons learned since 1972, sometimes painfully, should help in guiding COMAR to a fruitful future in its new home, the EMB-S.
