Abstract :
The Travelpilot IDS, a second-generation automotive drive-guidance system that uses dead reckoning and map matching for navigation, is described, covering its hardware, software, and navigation method, the maps it produces, and its expandability. The system can also find destinations and display them to the driver.<>
