Abstract :
The important considerations for producing reliable submerged-repeater components are given, as well as details of the design and manufacture of capacitors, inductors and transformers. Of components proved by past experience to be basically sound, only the modifications to improve reliability are explained. A device for permanently short-circuiting the heaters of one of the amplifiers in a repeater is described. No information is included on the thermionic valves and crystal resonators used in submerged repeaters.
