Abstract
Presented is a new state-tracking migration policy which is adaptively integrated with immediate restart and selective preemption techniques for risk-resilient job allocation in high-throughput computing environments. The proposed approach guarantees the maximum reduction of inevitable delays with relatively low migration costs. Simulation results show that the integrated migration policy averagely outperforms the conventional mechanisms by 26% in makespan and 33% in throughput, respectively, under various job%s burstiness.
