Abstract :
The data acquisition, protection and control of smart grid highly depend on advanced information infrastructures, which makes smart grid a coupled system of power and information networks. In order to assess the influence of the uncertainties within information networks on the performance of the real-time controls in smart grid, a co-simulation method is proposed in this work, based on which the OpenDSS and OPNET simulators are utilized to built a co-simulation platform. Results from the co-simulations of a modified IEEE test system validate the proposed method and platform.
