Abstract
It is claimed that the formula for the effective area of a corner reflector given in the Radar Cross Section Handbook, vol.2 (Plenum Press, 1970, p.588) is incorrect. It is further claimed that the formula of S.D. Robertson (Bell Syst. Tech. J., vol.26, p.852, 1947) is correct, and a proof is given in support of this assertion.<>
