Abstract :
A hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing capability for both power and telecom inputs of a power device will be presented. Three power simulation examples will be shown in MathWorks Simulink including power factor correction with distributed generation, variable loads in a microgrid, and grid healing in a distribution system. A telecom simulation of a 30 node communication network will be shown in OPNET.
