Abstract :
The capacity of WDM routers is limited by coherent crosstalk. The authors consider the main sources of stray light in free-space routers and estimate the power penalty due to the port-count increase. It is shown that holographic grating based free-space routers with circular and `diamond´ apertures are completely scalable from a crosstalk point of view
