Abstract :
This paper discusses potential sources of static electricity in chemical manufacturing operations and proposes practical methods for remediation to prevent fire and personal injury. It discusses the probabilities of static electricity ignition in Division 1 versus Division 2 locations and makes recommendations for controlling static electricity in each location
