Abstract :
The process of drying hay crops electrically has interested those engaged in developing the electrical load on farms, as well as agricultural scientists and technicians, for many years. However, the system has met with only limited success in many areas of Britain. The paper describes the development of barn hay drying, and it indicates the methods which have proved successful in the north west of England, dealing in some detail with recent developments and the trends envisaged in the near future.
