Abstract :
The transient conductivity of some polymeric dielectrics has been measured after the application of direct voltage, both with and without irradiation. The results indicate that the mechanism of anomalous conductivity is much more probably of the Maxwell¿Wagner type than one based on dipole orientation and the induced anomalous conductivity behaves as if it were of an ionic nature.
