Abstract :
THE approximate calculation of cyclic irregularity and variation in motor current due to a steady load with a sinusoidally varying load superposed is dealt with in this letter. For the case of a slip ring motor at a given torque, the effect of varying the slip by means of rotor resistance or separately driven cascaded commutator machine is briefly discussed and a numerical sample is given.
