Families of bandpass filtering characteristics

Formulas are developed which give the various coefficients of the characteristic function pertinent to the insertion loss of an equiripple bandpass filtering characteristic which may have one or two infinite-attenuation frequencies (i.e. peaks). The low- and high-frequency cutoff rates need not be equal. Numerous other bandpass filtering characteristics are generated by assigning the special value of zero or infinity to a peak. Two illustrative examplees are included.
