Abstract
External equivalence of behavioral representations is investigated within an impulsive-smooth framework. As an attendant problem, initial-value consistency is also considered. Explicit necessary and sufficient conditions are derived. Applying the external equivalence result to conventional system representations reveals some interesting interpretations.
