Abstract :
In this work we study by extensive Monte Carlo (MC) simulations magnetic properties of very thin ferromagnetic films with Heisenberg spin model on a bcc lattice with (001) surfaces, taking into account dipolar interactions and surface anisotropy. A switching from perpendicular to in-plane ordering at a finite temperature is found. We also discuss some results on an antiferromagnetic film of frustrated stacked triangular lattices
