Abstract :
The magnetic behavior of antiferromagnetic particles, with sc and bcc lattice structures, has been studied using the Monte Carlo simulation technique. The magnetization of the particles is a surface effect. At very low temperatures the surface exchange field gives a high coercivity. At high temperatures, the coercivity scales with the proportion of the uncompensated spins in the particle
