  • Abstract
    The paper gives a summary of work leading to the development of a series of lead¿antimony¿arsenic and lead¿antimony¿tellurium alloys for cable sheathing. Fatigue resistance, creep resistance, creep ductility, hardness, and stability of grain structure were investigated for alloys produced in the laboratory and on commercial presses. Recommended compositions include Pber 0.4%Sb¿As, Pber 0.2%Sb¿As and Pber 0.2%Sb¿As¿Te, with 0.02¿0.05% As and 0.02¿0.05% Te if present.
