  • Abstract
    A modified sleeve monopole type antenna that features a novel broadband technique is demonstrated experimentally and numerically. A bandwidth of 24.2%1 (|S11|<-20 dB) can be achieved, and an omnidirectional radiation pattern is obtained. The electrical characteristics of the proposed antenna make it attractive for use in mobile handset and repeater applications
